We believe in recruiting the most qualified lawyers from around the common law world and providing them with a collegial and non-hierarchical environment where they can thrive professionally.
We encourage intellectual curiosity and open discussion within the firm on the issues which affect our clients. We ask that our lawyers comment on legal and regulatory developments which impact upon the financial markets as a whole and develop leadership in thinking about the issues which relate to the financial services industry. We provide extensive legal research facilities for our lawyers and we expect our lawyers to take advantage of these resources to continually develop their expertise.
We operate as a single firm. We have no practice groups dividing the firm by legal discipline or otherwise and no profit centers. Clients are clients of the firm rather than clients of individual lawyers. We expect our lawyers to systematically share their knowledge, experience and insight across the firm, enabling us to bring to bear on each client matter the fullest possible range of institutional expertise. We have, and continue to develop, systems and processes to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience throughout the firm.
We are transparent with the firm's strategies, results and managerial decision making process. We welcome suggestions from all quarters on how to advance the firm's results over both the short-term and the long-term.
