My Story

I was a vacation scheme student at Timothy Loh during the summer of 2017 and began my training contract upon completing PCLL in 2018.

What impresses me most about working here is the high level of involvement and responsibilities entrusted to vacation scheme students. Since day one, we were assigned active files and were given opportunities to handle client matters under robust guidance. We were constantly invited to participate in intellectually vigorous discussions with partners and associates and were always encouraged to share our views. Our input was valued and our contributions recognised. It is the inclusive and supportive environment of the firm what sets it apart in attracting candidates.

Training

Training at Timothy Loh means constantly riding a steep learning curve. Trainee solicitors are constantly exposed to a wide spectrum of work as we work closely with partners on a day-to-day basis on matters requiring sharp judgment. The intense training we undergo equips us for complex and highly technical work as we progress along.

Diversity

The firm values diversity. For instance, all trainee solicitors come from different academic disciplines, ranging from arts, social science to business and natural science. Diversity in backgrounds brings insights and perspectives to discussions and facilitated our work in maximizing the value we create for clients.

Advice

Apply as a vacation scheme student to get a flavour of the pace and culture of the firm and benefit from getting to work closely with the partners and associates.
