Seminar: What You Need to Know About the New Open-Ended Fund Company Regime in Hong Kong (August 27, 2018)
The new open-ended fund company (“OFC”) regime began on July 30, 2018. The OFC regime comprises a package of tax and regulatory changes that will enable investment funds to be set up and domiciled in Hong Kong.
In this seminar, we will discuss what the Hong Kong government and regulators hope to achieve with the new regime, the regime’s tax and regulatory requirements, and its limitations, advantages and disadvantages. We will outline our thoughts on how asset managers should approach this new regime.
